Our Story from Our Founder
The Grant Advisory Group was founded on a simple belief: strong organizations create strong communities.
Growing up in Savannah, Georgia, I learned firsthand the importance of community, resilience, and the role strong institutions play in creating opportunity. The tree featured in our logo is the actual picture of the tree that stood near my childhood home and serves as a reminder that lasting growth begins with strong roots.
For more than 20 years, I have worked with nonprofits, foundations, schools, faith-based organizations, and public agencies navigating growth, change, and complex community needs. While my work has supported organizations across the country, much of my career has been rooted in the Washington, DC region, where I have partnered with nonprofits, foundations, schools, faith-based organizations, and public agencies to strengthen leadership, increase capacity, and expand impact.
Throughout my career, I have led complex initiatives, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, secured significant philanthropic investments, and advised executives, boards, and leadership teams through growth, change, and organizational transformation. These experiences have given me both a national perspective and a deep understanding of the Washington metropolitan region.
I founded The Grant Advisory Group to work directly with leaders as they align vision, strategy, people, and resources in ways that strengthen organizations and create lasting impact. I lead each engagement personally, bringing focused attention, practical experience, and accountability from discovery through delivery.
